About Us

Welcome to Shady Haven's Fiber Designs. Specializing in creations using camelid fibers.

Shady Haven's Fiber Designs is located near Sheboygan, WI., which is close to the shores of Lake Michigan.

We are relatively a small llama farm and here is where the fiber came into my life and basically has taken over. Although we enjoyed our show years with the llamas our focus now has switched to creating fiber made items using our fleeces or doing custom work on a commission basis. Items are constantly being created and offered in several locations throughout WI. For the ready made items I go under the name of Fiber Designs by VLK, I try to make each piece unique instead of mass producing.

I am a member of the Sheboygan Shuttlecraft Guild, currently the co-chair and vendor chairperson for the Midwest Weaving Conference 2005, which is hosted by our guild.

I am also a member of the WI Handweavers Assoc.

Along with creating items for Fiber Designs by VLK I also teach at various fiber events and at my home. I love to explore all fiber arts, which I find totally fascinating, whether it's felting, dyeing, spinning, knitting, crocheting or weaving it's always a new creative experience.

Please browse Shady Haven's Fiber Designs and visit Fiber Designs by VLK gallery to view some of my creations.
